So you know your second semester in-progress grade in a class, and you want to know how well you need to do on your finals to maintain your letter grade, or how well you need to do to raise it for the year.
Windows only, I'm afraid. If you know me you'll know I'm releasing this under the GPL/Creative Commons licence. That means you can redistribute it and modify it for free, you just can't resell it. If any of you would like to code to port it to Mac, shoot me an email at nick@twistedsatire.com and I'll send you the code.
DOWNLOAD. Enter in your first semester grade and second semester in-progress grade, and it will tell you the lowest possible grade you can get on your final while still mainting your letter grade for the year AND what you need to get on your final to raise yourself a letter grade.
Note that it includes rounding up, so if you have an A-, it counts the lowest possible grade at around 89.9. It will tell you if it's an 89.9 so you can figure things out for yourself if your teacher doesn't round. Also, an A is counted as a 93.5, which is the official H-W school A. Again, it will tell you what the percentage is, so figure it out if it's different for you.
All finals at Harvard-Westlake are 15% of your overall grade, and it calculates accordingly. If they're different for your school and you want to use them, shoot me and email at nick@twistedsatire.com and I'll send you a version of your own.
