This is a very interesting conversation I had in English on friday. I will refer to the other person as "John" (yes it's a boy). The following is a TRUE STORY:

(John turns around and looks at me)
John: Andy, do you want to go out?
Me: What?
John: Do you want to go out with me?
Me: Are you serious?
John: Yeah!
Me: um................okay (sarcastically)
John: uh...Do you like movies?
Me: What do you mean?
John: What do you want to see?
(Long pause)
Me: No, John.
John: Is that a movie?
