Back From "J-Tree"

As you can tell, I've been so busy lately, I've found it too hard to spell out Joshua Tree. Instead, I just say J-Tree. Because that's just how busy I am.

Ok, so that was a lie. In fact, being in Joshua Tree is exactly what it's like living in a hunter-gatherer environment, except you don't have to hunt or gather. After you eat, you just try to drink enough water so you can survive in the desert. Backpacking was one of the harder things I've done in my life. 8 miles in total, going at 4 miles per day in either deep sand in washes, or rocky terrain. In either case, we started with about 35 pounds on our backs, and that slowly decreased as we drank out of the 2 gallons of water we were allocated with our group.

OH RIGHT, fun stuff. Uhm, rock climbing was... exciting. There was this hippy climbing expert that talked to the rope, and asked it how it felt. Apparently, I made the rope feel bad about itself when I didn't curl it onto the tarp. I lost sleep over the way I made that rope feel. Just kidding, I have no compassion.

Anyway, you can expect more satirical goodness in the days to come. I hope Alison didn't bore you too much...

OH, and buy our swag. Because when you're wearing a TS shirt, you're cool like that.
